Rara Lake Trek

Rara Lake Trek is located in the far northwest part of Nepal surrounded by beautiful mountains and alpine Forests. It is a paradise of the earth. Rara Lake is Nepal’s biggest and deepest lake covering an area of 9.8 square kilometer in Rara National Park which is also known as queen Lake. It is isolated land of western Nepal with full of natural beauty and wildlife with an elevation of 3000 meters.

Rara Lake is off the beaten path trekking destination which offers an amazing Himalayan view, Beautifulgreen forest of Rhododendron, lush valley and local culture. Trekkers can explore the authentic wildernessbeauty of Rara Lake which gives lifetime memorable aspects. The trail to Rara Lake passes throughbeautiful local villages and forests with the presence of species of animals, birds and alpine pastures. Trek to Rara Lake is more awesome with an amazing pass of Ghurchi Lagna (3450m) that makes your trekmore adventure. The local culture and traditions of this region are mostly Bhoti and Khasa people whose origin is based on the Karnali region since the medieval period of Nepal. Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

 

Our Represented member from our Company assists you from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu Nepal and drive to Hotel, Meet with your director in the Hotel.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing

 

Our cultural tour guide takes you to show world heritage sites of Nepal such as Monkey Temple 3000 the year-old first temple of Kathmandu, Old Patan City-Old King Palace, Pashupatinath Temple-popular Hindu Temple of South Asia and Boudhanath Stupa-Biggest Stupa of Nepal. It is a full-day guided tour where our guide will explain about Nepal associating with history, Geography, religion, People and the culture where you can have a cross-question to him to know about all details of Nepal.

Day 3 Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by Flight

 

Today fly to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu with our Guide which takes 50 minutes domestic flight which is located western part of Nepal. It is situated nearby Nepal-India Border and it is the gateway to Simikot, Humla, Jumla, Jhupal and western Himalayan region of Nepal. It is called the Tarai region but during summer it is a very hot temperature.

Day 4 Nepalgunj to Jumla flight 2540m 25 minute flight

 

Today we will have morning scenic flight to Jumla from Nepalgunj. Jumla is located in the hilly region of Nepal with an altitude of 2540 meters. Rice and Paddy are cultivated in the land of Jumla. It is the wonderful remote valley having Bheri River in the South and Sisne Himalaya. The land is occupied by Karnali Zone and it is the gate path of a trek to the Karnali region. Overnight at Jumla Today.

Day 5 Jumla to Chere Chaur 3060m 5-6 hrs walk

 

Today is the first-day trek of the Jumla region; having trekking destinations to beautiful Rara Lake. Today, we will have ascended walk to Chere Chaur which is beautiful local village. Today mostly, we will have all the way climb to Chere Chaur. Overnight at Chere Chaur.

 

Day 6 Chere Chaur to Chala Chaur 2986m 5-6 hrs walk

After breakfast, we begin our second-day trek to Chala Chaur from Chere Chaur. We follow the western trail having climb up through rhododendron, oak, and pine forest and also cross JalJala Pass (3590m). From Jaljala, we can see an amazing view of Kanjiroba Himalaya which is situated in the northeast part of Nepal. After having a strong walk and having a downhill path; be in Chala Chaur. This place is grazing pastures area during the summer season for animals.

Day 7 Chala Chaur to Sinja Valley

 

Today, trek to Sinja valley which is best remote, popular and historical mountain village of Nepal. In Sinja, we can see old ruins houses, temples, monuments, and ancient sculptured stone. It is alsocalled Sinja valley civilization where Hindu people lived first time when they came from India and theystarted to live all part of Nepal. Sinja is the historical valley and it was the capital city of Khasa kingdom during 12 the century. Explore Sinja valley and overnight there.

Day 8 Sinja to Ghorusingha 3050 m 5-6 hrs walk

 

Early morning after breakfast, we go to Gorushingha from Sinja village where we follow the river till Ganja. The Hima River is very beautiful; afterward, we ascend to Laha Village. Today we can see the local villages where a person working in the field which is untouched by modernity makes you a different experience. We will again trek to Ghatte Khola from Laha village and finally reach to Ghorusingha. Overnight at Ghorusingha.

Day 9 Ghorusingha to Rara Lake 3000m via Chuchhemara Danda 4260m 5-6 hrs walk

 

Today, we will trek to Rara Lake from Ghorusinga which is our last destination during the trek to Rara Lake. The day is more challenging and adventure. The trail goes ascend to Chuchhemara Danda which is situated south part of Rara Lake with an elevation of 4260m. From to top, there is an amazing view of Rara Lake; it looks like a small heaven on earth. There is a great opportunity to see white Himalayan Peaks from the top of Chuchhemara Danda and trek down to Rara Lake through dense pine forests. Overnightat Rara Lake. Before going to Ghorusingha, we cross Chapri village, Murma village.

Day 10 Explore Rara Lake

 

Today, you have a rest day in Rara Lake but explore around Rara Lake. This is a very beautiful place for rest, relaxation and the hidden beauty of Nepal. The sound of Birds, amazing blue Rara Lake, Peace environment and the veiled nature of Rara National Park is the main focal thing here. If you hike little to the hill can see the Himalayan view of Rama Kand, Malika Kand Peak, and Chumchemara Peak. Enjoy yourself and be romantic with nature.

Day 11 Rara Lake to Pina Village

 

After exploring Rara Lake, trek down to Pina village through dense forest. Today the trail is very easy and it is all the way to down to Pina. Even in the east part, there is Gamgadhi village which headquarters of Mugu district. Overnight at Pina Village.

Day 12 Pina to Bumra

 

The trail goes downhill to Ghurchi Lagna Pass where can see the chortens, Buddhist flags on the pass and again cross enchanting forest having the beautiful landscape of Himalayas and Gurung settlement and finally reach to Bumra village. It is also called Nauru Ghat.

Day 13 Bumra to Jumla

 

Today is the last day trek in Rara region. We begin our trekking after breakfast where the trail goes uphill and more downhill to Jumla. Overnight at Jumla and say goodbye to porters.

Day 14 Fly to Nepalgunj from Jumla and fly to Kathmandu

 

After having amazing trek to Rara Lake, you will fly to Nepalgunj in the morning and day time fly to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj. Overnight in the Hotel

Day 15 Free day in Kathmandu

 

Today, you are free in Kathmandu/Shopping day.

Day 16 Departure to Home

 

Our representative from our company assists in your departure to Tribhuvan International Airport.
