Mardi Himal Trek
Mardi Himal Trekking is a short and easy trek of Nepal which is located in the Annapurna Conversation Area. In a short period, we can hike to high altitude with a stunning view of Himalaya like seeing Mirror. Magnificent view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and more white Himalayan peaks are seen from here.
The trail to Mardi Himal goes through traditional Gurung villages with the combination of Hindu & Buddhist culture, also having amazing hospitality shown by local people. The amazing trip to Mardi Himal takes you to till 4500 meters from sea level with awe-inspiring scenery. So, one can experience real adventure activity even in a short period in the Himalayan region of Nepal.
Mardi Himal Trekking begins after having 1:30 hrs drive from Pokhara to Phedi and Trek to Dhampus, Deurali, Forest Camp, High Camp and finally Mardi Himal Base Camp. We will hike through Oak, and Rhododendron forests having fewer tourists on the trekking route. It is an exotic and amazing trekking route of Nepal which is also very popular for eco-tourism. Pristine Mountain view, beautiful scenery, mixed local people and lush green forests are the main attractions of Mardi Himal. There is limited accommodation during the trek to Mardi Himal, which need a good guide to lead the way to the destination.
The Mardi Himal Trek is hidden Gems of Annapurna region which presents unique natural beauty such as breathtaking glacial valleys and screened image of Annapurna Himalaya. It is also trekking to off the beaten path from Deurali to Mardi Himal Base Camp where we escape the main trail of Annapurna Base Camp from Deurali. Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Our Represented member from our Company assists you from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu Nepal and drive to Hotel, and preparation for trip meet with Trekking Guide and Trek Organizer.
Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing
Our cultural tour guide takes you to show world heritage sites of Nepal such as Monkey Temple-3000 years old Temple, Old Patan City-Old King Palace, Pashupatinath-Popular Hindu Temple, and Boudhanath –big Buddhist Stupa. It is a full-day guided tour where our guide will explain about Nepal associating with history, Geography, Religion, People, and culture where you can have cross-question to him to know about all the details of Nepal.
Day 3 Kathmandu to Pokhara Drive 6 hrs
From Kathmandu, we drive to Pokhara by following Prithivi Highway and Trishuli River. From Muglin, we drive to the north part by crossing Dumre, Damauli and finally reach beautiful Pokhara City. You can also fly by Plane to Pokhara which takes 25 minutes.
Day 4 Pokhara to Phedi Drive Trek to Deurali 2235 m 5 hrs walk 1: 30 hrs drive
After breakfast, we drive to Phedi by following Pokhara Baglung highway from where we start our trekking to Deurali via, Dhapus and Pothana village. You permit of Annapurna Conversation Area is check-in here and ascend all the way till to Deurali. Deurali is located on the top of the green hill from where you can see an amazing view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya.
Day 5 Deurali to Forest Camp 2600m 5 hrs walk
Today, we trek to forest camp from Deurali after having mountain breakfast. We escaped the main trail of Annapurna Base Camp trek and follow the path of Jungle area to forest Camp. Today, there are no villages and tea-houses so we need to pack lunch and sufficient water for the drink. We go hike through Oak and rhododendron forests. Overnight at Forest Camp.
Day 6 Forest Camp to High Camp 3550 m 6 hrs walk
Today, we go to high Camp from forest Camp. We follow the rhododendron forest till Low Camp where there are few tea houses. We can see the stunning view of Machhapuchhre from here which is located nearby. We can have rest or and take Tea/Coffee here and we follow our path to High Camp which is located in 3550m. High Camp is a small pasture and it is one of the best places to see the Himalayan view.
Day 7 Explore Mardi Himal Base Camp 4500m & Trek down to Low Camp 7-8 hrs
Today is the most beautiful day because we are going to encounter Mardi Himal Base Camp. It is more difficult than other days due to the steep climb and a longer walk. We cross rocky steps and finally reach to Base Camp from where an unforgettable view of Himalaya can be seen. After we explore Base Camp,trek down to Low Camp. Overnight at Low Camp.
Day 8 Low Camp to Lwang Ghalel Village 6 hrs walk 1500m
Today, our trekking trail goes down steeply through oak and rhododendron forests to local village settlements of Lwang Ghalel. It is a beautiful village of the Gurung community that presents awesome welcoming behavior to guests. We will have a great opportunity to explore local Gurung culture here. Overnight at Lwang Ghalel Village.
Day 9 Lwang Ghalel Village to Pokhara
We trek down to Mardi River Basin and drive to Pokhara by local Jeep.
Day 10 Pokhara to Kathmandu
We will drive or fly to Kathmandu from Pokhara
Day 11 Free day in Kathmandu
Today, you have a free day in Kathmandu.
Day 12 Departure to Airport
Our representative from our company assists for your departure to Tribhuvan International Airport.
