Helambu Trek

Helambu Trek route is located in the north part of Kathmandu which is full of natural beauty and eco fascination local culture. Helambu region is a beautiful village of Tamang and Sherpa settlement where tourists can encounter classical Sherpa and Tamang history, religion, lifestyle, and origin. This trekking trail is also connected with Langtang-Gosainkunda Trekking.

This trekking route is familiar to solo walkers due to less elevation and less challenging with ranging between 850m to 3650m. It is also a less crowded area so your trip will be more inaudible. We will explore Helambu valley which is the nearest destination from Kathmandu full of unchanged and untouched modernity. This trekking trail begins from Sundarijal and hikes through Shivapuri National Park and sleeps the first night in Chisapani village which is the best viewpoint to see the sunrise. The trail to the Helambu region from Chisapani is more crystal scenery and landscapes. This is known as the easy trekking route of Nepal so even normal health conditions people can conquer this trekking trail in a short time.

We walk through a beautiful forest of rhododendron bamboo trees with a terraced rice field also can see a beautiful waterfall. The region is mostly full of Buddhist pilgrimage with the monastery, Chortens, Buddha Status and image of popular Gururimpoche. During the trek to the Helambu region, we can have an amazing picture of Himalaya such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gauri Shankar, JugalHimal, LakpaDorje, and LangtangLirung.

Tourists not only explore natural beauty but also explore cultural heritage where local Sherpa people present good hospitality to foreigners. Settlement of Tamang and Sherpa Community, Silent forests, Flora & Fauna, the Dancing festival of local people are the major tourist attractions of this region. There are plenty of Tea houses along the trekking trail Buddhist Monastery of Helambu makes the whole Helambu region classical and cultural. If tourists have time, they can continue their trek to Langtang-Gosainkunda Trek.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

Our Represented member from our Company assist you from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu Nepal and drive to Hotel, and preparation for trip meet with Trekking Guide and Trek Organizer.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing

Our cultural tour guide takes you to show world heritage sites of Nepal such as Monkey Temple-3000 years old Temple, Old Patan City-Old King Palace, Pashupatinath-Popular Hindu Temple, and Boudhanath –big Buddhist Stupa. It is a full-day guided tour where our guide will explain about Nepal associating with history, Geography, religion, People and culture where you can have a cross-question to him to know about all details of Nepal.

Day 3 Kathmandu to SundariJal Drive & Trek to Chisapani 2160 m 1-hour drive 5 hrs Trek

After breakfast, we drive to Sundarijal from Kathmandu through Shivapuri National Park and Waterfall and finally reach to Chisapani from where we can see the amazing view of Langtang range. The trail from Sundarijal goes uphill climbing through stone steps where we should buy national park permits and hike to Mulkharka which is a traditional human settlement area. Also, have a good view of the Kathmandu valley. Overnight at Chisapani

Day 4 Chisapani to Kutumsang 2470 m 7 hrs walk

Today, we trek to Kutumsang from Chisapani through Brahmans and chhetries settlement of PatiBhanjyang. We climb to Chipping where we can see the Buddhist wall Mani stones and finally reach to GulBhanjyang which is the settlement of Tamang ethnicity. We continue our trek to Kutumsang which is a beautiful place to stay.Overnight at Kutumsang .

Day 5 Kutumsang to Tharepati 3690 m 6 hrs walk

By leaving Kutumsang, we hike to Tharepati through Bolamche and Singlang. We will cross dense forest and waterfall on the way and trek to Mangengoth where there are very few Lodges. Overnight at Tharepati.

Day 6 Tharpati to MelamchiGaon 2530m 6 hrs walk

Tharepati is the best place to see the Himalaya range. Early morning, we enjoy the sunrise view with golden Himalayan Range, take breakfast and we will be ready to hike to MelamchiGaon. From here we leave the main trail of Langtang region, and our trail goes down to Sherpa village of Melamchi. During hiking, we cross the oak and rhododendron forest and terrace field of vegetation. Overnight at MelamchiGaon.

Day 7 MelamchiGaon to Sermatahng

From MelamchiGaon we go downhill path to Melamchi River which is a very beautiful area. The trail is full of forest and we reach to Tarkeghyang. There is being a great opportunity to visit GekyeGompa; near the beautiful Sherpa village of Tarkeghyang. We will explore the Sherpa culture and walk to Sermathang. Overnight at Sermatahng.

Day 8 Sermathang to MelamchiPul 870m 5 hrs walk

From the Sherpa settlement of Sermathang, we trek to Melamchi through Indrawati River, terrace farmland and Gompa. We reach to MelamchiBazzar and explore around.

Day 9 Drive to Kathmandu

We drive 4-5 hours to Kathmandu today after having a beautiful trek to Helambu.

Day 10 Free day in Kathmandu

Today you are free in Kathmandu,shopping day.

Day 11 Departure to Home

Our representative member from our company assists in your departure to Tribhuvan International Airport.
