Ghorepani Ghandruk Trekking
Ghorepani Ghandruk Trekking lies in the Annapurna Conservation Area. It is a short and easy trek in the Annapurna region of western Nepal. The trail passes through Poon Hill from where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Manaslu, Dhalugiri, Fishtail and other mountains. Ghandruk, a tourist village with nearly 300 households, is a community based responsible eco-tourism in Nepal. Ghandruk is a Gurung village with stone-roof traditional small houses.
Ghorepani Ghandruk trek begins from Nayapul after one and half hour drive from Pokhara. Crossing the rice field and villages like Tikhedhunga the trail reaches to the Magar village Ghorepani. After passing through rhododendron forest and Tadapani you reach beautiful Gurung village called Ghandruk. From Ghandruk the trekking descends all the way to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m) and Transfer to Hotel
We heartily welcome you to Nepal. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greets you with great reverence and transfers you to the hotel. Before dinner, you could walk around Thamel or spend time as your wish. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 2 Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley and Trek Orientation
After breakfast, we set out for the sightseeing to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Our experienced tour guide will show you the UNESCO world heritage sites, which includes Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudha Stupa and Syambhunath Stupa also known as Monkey Temple. At the same day we prepare necessary backpack for Trekking. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (827 m), 7 hrs
Pokhara is 200 Km East from Kathmandu. Early in the morning we will drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It takes around 6-7 hours to reach Pokhara in normal case but you may face some traffic due to bumpy highway and heavy vehicles. However you can enjoy the view of Nature.
If you are interested to fly instead of road access, you can reach Pokhara within 30 min leaving from Kathmandu around 8:30 from Tribhuban International Airport. Fly to Pokhara depend upon your travel cost and package you booked.
You can visit beautiful Pokhara city in the evening including beach of Fewa Lake. Overnight in Pokhara
Day 4 Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri (2,070 m), 5 hrs
After breakfast, we drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. We start to hike following BhurungiKhola through stone steps to Tikhedhunga. After being refreshed and drying our sweat, we ascend up about 2 hours to Ulleri. You can enjoy the view of Annapurna and many more mountains from Ulleri. Overnight in Ulleri
Day 5 Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,860 m), 7 hrs
After breakfast, we start our trek uphill following the river for half an hour. Crossing the lovely rhododendron and bamboo forests and enjoying the beautiful view of Annapurna South we reach Banthanti. Following the stream up a narrow valley, with many stone steps, we arrive at Nangathanti. After an hour climb from here finally we reach Ghorepani. Overnight in Ghorepani
Day 6 Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and trek to Tadapani (2,630 m), 4 hrs
We get up early in the morning and hike up to the Poon hill to catch the beautiful sunrise view. From here, 10 different mountains can be seen in the clear day. We return back to hotel, take our breakfast and head towards Tadapani. It is about 5-6 hours journey through the rhododendron and oak forest. Overnight in Tadapani
Day 7 Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk(1,940m), 3-4 hrs
After breakfast at Tadapani, we proceed to walk through oak and rhododendron forest down viewing the great scenery around. This is the charming trek of 4-5 hours in the pleasant atmosphere of nature. After this, we reach to Ghandruk, the village in the slope. The settlement is of stone houses mostly inhabited by Gurung people. The great view of Fishtail,Annapurna South and Huinchuli can be seen from here. The cultural setting of Ghandruk is very influential. We can explore the handicraft center and the Gurung museum. Overnight in Ghandruk
Day 8 Ghandruk to Nayapul to Pokhara
The trek from Ghandruk is downhill all the way to Birethanti. The walk through the stone staircase continues until ModiKhola River Valley. So, we descend through Kimshe and Syauli Bazaar. From here, the trail goes quite flat till we reach to Birethanti. Form Birethanti, we drive to Pokhara and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Pokhara
Day 9 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, 7hrs
After breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. It is 30 minutes mountain flight, viewing the fascinating scene. If not, we will drive back to Kathmandu which takes 6-7 hours.If you want to take flight from pokhara to Kathmandu, it take more cost than base cost display in this package. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 10 Transfer to International airport
Our beautiful journey comes to an end today! Easy Nepal Trek Private Limited representative will drop you to the airport 3 hours before your flight. So, as per your flight schedule, we check out from the hotel and leave you at International terminal side at Tribhuvan International Airport.
