Everest Three High Passes Trekking

Everest Three High Passes Trekking is adventurous and challenging trek in the Everest region of Nepal. The Everest 3 passes Trek leads you to Renjo La pass (5338m), Chola-La pass (5368m), Kongma-La Pass (5535m) and also Gokyo valley, Gokyo RI, Fifth Lakes, Kalapathar and Everest Base Camp. The trek begins from mountain flight to Lukla. The trek takes to you Namche Bazaar via Phakding. Namche Bazaar is the gateway of Everest Base Camp. From Kalapathar and Goyo RI, you can see the beautiful view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and other snow capped peaks. Our final destination is Renjo La Pass and then we trek downward along traditional village Thame and join in Namche Bazaar. Then trek continue downwards to Lukla.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu and trip preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)

We heartily welcome you to Nepal. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greets you with great reverence and transfers you to the hotel. Before dinner, you could walk around Thamel or spend time as your wish. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 2 Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

After breakfast, we set out for the city sightseeing to the historical monuments. You will visit UNESCO world heritage sites, which include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Darbar Squar, Bhaktapur Darbar Square, Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath and Pashupatinath. We will give you briefing about the trekking you begin from tomorrow at hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 3 Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 3 - 4 hours trek

In the early morning flight we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. It is 40 minutes mountain flight. After a short briefing and introduction, we walk to Phakding village. Overnight at Phakding

Day 4 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 5 - 6 hours

From Phakding we walk along the Dudh Koshi River with many suspension bridges. We then arrive to the small village called Monjo which is the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. After entering the National Park, we descend down to Bhote Koshi River. Next we cross another village called Jorsale and reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar

Day 5 Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)

Today, we take rest in Namche Bazaar to get rid of altitude sickness. Namche Bazzar is the centre of the Khumbu region. You can walk around Namche Bazaar and observe the local proceedings and lifestyle. We can also trek to Khumjung village, a beautiful village with a Sherpa settlement. Overnight at lodge

Day 6 Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft) - 5 - 6 hours

After breakfast, the trail descends to the Dudh Koshi River. You can enjoy the marvelous view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Thamserku. Next, the trail ascends along the rhododendron forest and reaches Tangboche. Tangboche is the biggest Buddhist Monastery situated at 3,870 m altitude. Overnight at lodge in Tengboche

Day 7 Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 5 - 6 hours

Enjoying the spectacular view of mountains the trail descends through the rhododendron forest. We cross the Imja Khola and reach Pangboche village. The trek moves ahead towards the Imja Valley, Lobuche River and ultimately begins climbing up to Dingboche. Overnight at Dingboche

Day 8 Dingboche: Acclimatization

We spend a day at Dingboche for acclimatization. Dingboche is a small village in Chhukung valley. Proper rest will enrich your high altitude bearing capacity. You can walk around and explore the Chhukung Valley on this day. Overnight at lodge

Day 9 Dingboche to Chhukung (4750m/15,580 ft): 3 - 4 hours

Dingboche to Chhukung is gradual way on the valley to Imja, enjoying the great views of Lhotshe, Amadablam, Island peak and Amalapchha. You will reach Chhukung at the lunch time which is surrounded by glaciers and Himalayas. You can explore the Chhukung ri for day excursion and benefit for next day long excursion over the Kongmala pass. Overnight in Chhukung

Day 10 Cross to Kongma La pass (5535m/18,159ft), trek to Lobuche (4940m/16,210ft): 6 - 7 hours

We begin the trek early in the morning to cross the Kongma La pass. Next, we descent from the pass and then the trail ascends to Lobuche. Today is really a fantastic day however it is a long and strong walking along the snowy, rocky and sloppy high hills. Overnight in Lobuche

Day 11 Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 6-7 hours

Today will be the most challenging day of the trek. The trail to Gorak Shep from Lobuche passes through the Khumbu glacier. We walk steep up to get the top and continue though the rough rocky trail and reach Gorak Shep. We pass through rocky dunes, moraine and streams before reaching the Everest Base Camp. You can enjoy the incredible view of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Everest and other mountains from the Everest Base Camp. Then, we descend back to Gorak Shep. Overnight at Lodge in Gorak Shep

Day 12 Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545 m/18,192 ft), then to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 8 - 9 hours

It will take a couple of hours to reach Kala Patthar from GorakShep. We hike up to Kalapatthar early in the morning for the best sunrise view over the mountains. Kalapatthar is the best viewpoint for the Everest and other Himalayan peaks such as Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Pumori. After having wonderful views of mountains, we return back to Gorak Shep and have breakfast and trek down all the way to Lobuche. Overnight at lodge in Lobuche

Day 13 Lobuche to Dzongla (4830m/15,850 ft): 3 - 4 hours

From Lobuche the trail descends alongside the Khumbu Glacier. The trail passes through a stupa and lakes and reaches Dzongla. Overnight in Dzongla

Day 14 Trek to Gokyo (4800m/15,580 ft) via Cho La pass (5368m/17,611 ft): 7 - 8 hours

We will have breakfast early in the morning and begin our trek to Cho La pass. The top of the pass contains prayer flags and cairns. The trail descends to Thagnak from the Cho La pass. The trail passes through the Ngozumpa glacier and reaches Gokyo valley. Overnight in Gokyo Valley

Day 15 Rest day in Gokyo: Climb Gokyo Ri (5357m/17,575 ft), tour 4th and 5th Gokyo lakes: 3 - 4 hours

Today we explore the Gokyo Ri in the morning to enjoy the incredible view of Mt. Cho–oyu, pumori, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Bhorunche, and many others mountains in a round. We can also tour the fourth and fifth Gokyo Lake today. We trek back to Gokyo and spend the night.

Day 16 Gokyo to Marlung (4210m/13,810 ft) via Renjo La Pass (5360m/17585 ft): 7 - 8 hours

We begin the trek early in the morning to cross Renjo La Pass. You can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Everest from Renjo La Pass. From the pass the trail descends to Marlung. Overnight in Marlung

Day 017 Marlung to Namche Bazaar: 5 - 6 hours

From Marlung the trail descends to Thame. The massive landscape, culture, villages along the bank of Bhote koshi River provide heavenly joy to Thame. From Thame the trail descends to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar

Day 18 Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft): 6 - 7 hours

From Namche Bazaar, we head back to Lukla from where we started our adventures journey. The trail passes through Phakding, Nurning and Sherpa villages and reach Lukla. Overnight at Lukla

Day 19 Fly to Kathmandu

We take the earliest flight back to Kathmandu. It is 40 minutes flight. From the airport, we drive to the hotel and you can spend your rest of the time by shopping or can plan for some side trip.

Day 20 Final departure

Our beautiful journey comes to an end today! Easy Nepal Trek Private Limited representative will drop you to the airport 3 hours before your flight. So, as per your flight schedule, we check out from the hotel and leave you at International terminal side at Tribhuvan International Airport.
