Manaslu Circuit Trekking

Manaslu circuit trek takes you to the beautiful Manaslu region where the eighth tallest mountain of the world, Mt. Manaslu (8165m) lies. The trek is followed by the beautiful mountains like Mt. Manslu, Himalchuli, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Himalayas, Lamjung Himal and other panoramas. Larkya La Pass is the highest point in this trek from where you can enjoy the wonderful view of mountains. The trek offers the unique views of flora and fauna. It consists of snow leopards, Himalayan Black Bear, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr and many more fauna and in flora, Himalayan Blue Pine, Oak, birch and rhododendron is found in this region. The trek begins from Arughat and we cross the suspension bridges above the Budi Gandaki river several times.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel

We heartily welcome you to Nepal. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greets you with great reverence and transfers you to the hotel. Before dinner, you could walk around Thamel or spend time as your wish. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to AruGhat (510m)

Today, we drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazar. It is 7 hours drive. Half of this road is off road and little bit rugged trail. A lot of ascending and descending through the forest and village takes us to Arughat bazar on the Beach of Budi Gandaki River. Overnight in Arughat

Day 03 Trek from Arughat to Sotikhola (710m)

After breakfast, we begin our trek to Sotikhola. The trail passes through the forest with full of monkeys to Shanti bazaar. Next, we cross the suspension bridge and arrive at Sotikhola. Overnight in Sotikhola

Day 4 Trek from Sotikhola to Machha Khola (900m)

Today, we follow the trail through beautiful sal forest to the ridge. The route is a bit precarious as rocky trail weaves its way up and down and crosses a stream. Next, the trail passes through the terraced rice fields to Gurung village of Labubesi and drop to the Machha khola. Overnight in Machha Khola

Day 5 Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1410m)

From Machha khola we trek to Khorlabesi. Then, the trail climbs over a small ridge then descends to Tatopani (hot spring). Crossing the bridge over Buri gandaki and some other river, the rocky trail passes through Dhovan Duman, Yuru khola Tharo bhanjyang to Jagat. Overnight in Jagat

Day 6 Trek from Jagat to Serchung (1650m)

Today, the trail crosses the rocky ridge to Salleri. The trail continues upstream to long suspension bridge up to Philim, a large Gurung village. The northern site just above the village is called Serchung. Overnight in Serchung

Day 7 Trek from Serchung to Ghap (2380m)

The trail follows the Buri Gandaki valley. There are lots of ups and downs crossing the bridge over Buri gandaki and Sringi Khola. The trail also passes through the forests and mani where we turn towards a corner that contours to Ghap. Overnight in Ghap

Day 08 Trek from Ghap to Lho (3180m)

Trek from Ghap to Lho begins climbing alongside a Mani wall through fields. We find there is much more Tibetan influence. There are closely packed stone houses standing together and sharing common flat roof and courtyard. After we cross the gorge, we enter to Lho, an important village with a monastery and Lama School. Overnight at Lho

Day 9 Trek from Lho to Samagaon (3360m)

The few hours of walking to Khani provide a wonderful view of Manaslu, slowly the trail leads you up to the paradise land. Cross the ridge and stream we arrive at the region where there is a classic lama settlement with monastery and Mani walls, Samagaon. Overnight in Samagaon

Day 10 Rest at Samagoun

We spend the day at Samagoun for rest and acclimatization. Samagoun is influenced by Tibetan culture with yak grazing and many horses roaming around. The gompa or a monastery at the far end of the valley is well worth a visit. So, we can hike to Pung-gyen gompa. Overnight in Samagoun

Day 11 Trek from Samagoun to Samdo (3780m)

Today we descend to Budi Gandaki river. The Larkya La trail passes several Maniwalls as the valley begins to widen. Passing the stone huts, juniper and birch forest and crossing the river and bridge the trail takes you into the beautiful Buddhist village Samdo. Overnight in Samdo

Day 12 Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4480m)

After breakfast, we cross the small wooden bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River and begin walking upward. Next, we cross two streams and witnessing the Larkya Glacier we go around the valley of the Salka Khola and climb up again to Dharamsala, also known as Larke Phedi. Overnight in Dharamsala

Day 13 Trek from Dharamsala to Larkya pass (5213m), and descend to Bimthang (3630m)

Today we begin our trek early in the morning in order to pass safely. The trail goes through sloppy, grassy fields, rocky moraines to the pass which is very long to Larkya La. The descending is also very steep down hills for a long time, eventually the valley becomes larger and the trail heads down to a large meadow, a Mani wall and finally Bhimtang. Overnight in Bhimtang

Day 14 Trek from Bimthang to Dharapani (1890m)

Today we descend further and cross the glacial stream followed by a bridge over Dudh khola. We walk through oak, rhododendron, blue pine, hemlock, birch and bamboo forest. The trail passes through the pasture field, old Gho village and descends to Tilije Gurung village to Dharapani. Overnight in Dharapani

Day 15 Trek from Dharapani to Jagat (1300m)

Today it is easy walking downhill from Dharapani to Jagat. Enjoying the beautiful scenery we ultimately arrive at Jagat. Overnight at Jagat

Day 016 Trek from Jagat to Beshishahar

This is the final day of our trekking. We follow the rough road along the valley of Marsyandi until we arrive at Syange. The trail goes easy walk through rice field of Ghermu phant and climbs for a while to Bahundanda. From Bahundanda the trail descends to Ngadi village and continues to Bulbule. You have to follow the dusty rough road from Bulbule until you reach to Beshishahar. Overnight in Beshishahar

Day 17 Drive from Beshishahar to Kathmandu

Today, we drive from Beshishahar to Kathmandu. It is 177 km east from Beshishahar and takes about 8 hours by bus. The scenic beauty of rural side following the Marshyangdi River and Trishuli piercing the hills by the Prithivi highway is pleasant journey. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 18 Final Departure

Our beautiful journey comes to an end today! Our representative will drop you to the airport 3 hours before your flight. So, as per your flight schedule, we check out from the hotel and leave you at International terminal side at Tribhuvan International Airport.
