Lobuche Peak

Lobuche peak is popular Himalayan peaks located in the Everest region which is more complicated than Island peak climbing, offers a magnificent view of Himalaya. This peak is equally important for Everest Climbers for training before climb Mt Everest. There are two variants of Lobuche Peak one is Lobuche west and the other is Lobuche East.

 

The climbers need mountain climbing ability, willpower, and proper physical capacity and well-experienced Sherpa Guide to make success to the summit. This peak climbing also covers well-liked Everest Base Camp Trek and Kallapatthar which gives you an unforgettable trip in a lifetime. This peak is also listed in NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association), so, need a permit to climb Lobuche Peak. Lobuche peak was first time climbed by Sherpa Ang Gyalzen and Laurence Lielson on April 25, 1984.

 

The summit of Lobuche is more attractive which offers various climbing routes through the normal route for climbing Lobuche is from South point. The best view of Mt. Everest, Many white Himalayan Peaks are located in Tibet part as well as a glorious view of Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Amadablam, are the main eye-catching attraction of this trip. Before climb Lobuche, we recommend you to hike Everest Base Camp from Lukla which is the first day of your trip. Slowly, you will hike to Namche Bazar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Everest Base Camp and way back from Lobuche, your Sherpa Guide lead the way to Lobuche Base Camp. You will sleep in tented Camp till the summit. The best time to Climb Lobuche Peak is in April May & October November.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

 

Our Represented member from our Company assist you from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu Nepal and drive to Hotel, and preparation for trip.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing

 

Our cultural tour guide takes you to show world heritage sites of Nepal such as Monkey Temple-3000 years old Temple, Old Patan City-Old King Palace, Pashupatinath-Popular Hindu Temple, and Boudhanath –big Buddhist Stupa. It is a full-day guided tour where our guide will explain about Nepal associating with history, Geography, religion, People and culture where you can have a cross-question to him to know about all details of Nepal.

Day 3 Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2850m) Trek to Phakding (2656m, 3 hrs walk)

 

Early morning transfer to the Domestic Airport for the Trans Himalayan flight and dramatic landing at Lukla: gateway to the Khumbu/Everest region. Meet your local porters and walk downhill to the Sherpa settlement. The trail then follows the DudhKhosi Valley before ascending to Ghat and Phakding. Overnight in Phakding Lodge

Day 4 Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440m, 6 hrs walk)

 

The trail meanders through pine forest, crossing suspension bridges and several Sherpa villages to Jorsale: entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park and permit checkpoint. Thamserku (6,618m/21,714m) glistens above the village. Continue to the confluence of the Bhote and DudhKhosi Rivers then climb steadily via the high Tenzing- Hilary suspension bridge with inspiring glimpses of Everest and the Nuptse – Lhotse ridge. A final three-hour forest ascent leads to the administrative town of Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazar Lodge

Day 5 Rest day in Namche Bazar for acclimatization (3440m)

 

Today is the rest day for acclimatization but you are not staying at Tea-House. You will explore around; Hike to Japanese Build 5* Hotel and Khumjung village to see the head of Yeti in Khumjung Monastery. Enjoy the fantastic view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Thamserku and many high Snow-Capped mountains. Overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 6 Namche Bazar to Tengboche (3860m, 5 hrs walk)

 

The trail climbs, then contours around the hillside, offering great views. Look out for spotted deer, Himalayan tahrs and birds – including the colorful (male) Danphe pheasant (Nepal’s national bird). At Sanasa the trail forks to Gokyo or Everest BC. Turn right and descend to cross the Dudh Kosi (past water driven prayer wheels) near PhunkiThenga (3,250m/10,663ft), the lowest point north of Namche Bazaar. And then ascend 2 hours to Tengboche. Overnight at Tengboche. Visit Old Tengboche monastery after check-in in the Tea house.

Day 7 Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m, 6 hrs walk)

 

Your trail goes a little down to Debohche; cross the river finally you will rich beautiful village of Pangboche. From Pangboche with closer views of towering AmaDablam, we head up to Dingboche. The trail then follows the river as it rises to its confluence with the LobucheKhola and walks right to Dingboche: The fields are walled to protect crops from icy winds and animals during the short growing season. Have an awesome walk to Dingboche.

Day 8 Rest day in Dingboche for acclimatization (4410m)

 

Today is also the rest day in Dingboche for acclimatization. But you need to walk around to complete Everest Base Camp Trek. From Dingboche, the trail also goes to Chukung which is also a popular trail to climb Island Peak. Enjoy the view around Dingboche, Overnight at Tea-House of Dingboche.

Day 9 Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m, 6 hrs walk)

 

From Dingboche, you will hike to Lobuche via Thukla Pass. Your trail today is more tuff and adventure. You will cross the Thukla Pass, a place for the memorial of those climbers who lost their life during Mt. Everest Climb. From here your trekking trail goes straight to Lobuche.

Day 10 Lobuche to Gorakshep (5140m, 3 hrs walk) - Visit Everest Base Camp

 

Today, you will have a short walk to Gorakshep but it will be an adventure and challenging walk have an amazing view of Himalayans with Khumbu Galcier. Our Guide will help you to check in the Guesthouse of Gorakshep, take lunch and go walk to Everest Base Camp to explore  adventure Himalayan journey.

Day 11 Morning Climb Kalapatthar and Trek to Lobuche 4940m 3 hrs walk

 

Early morning, hike to Kalapatthar from Gorakshep which is one of the popular destinations during your trek to EBC. Kalapatthar is a popular place to see a panoramic view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, and more snow-capped Himalayan Peaks. After having a view, walk down to Gorakshep, take breakfast and way back to Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche.

Day 12 Lobuche to Lobuche Base Camp 4865 m 3 hrs walk

 

Today we have a short walk to Lobuche after checking proper climbing equipment with our Sherpa Guide. From today, you will sleep in a camping tent till we climb Lobuche Peak. The trail Lobuche Base Camp is completely flat and rocky. We follow the path to Lobuche Glacier having an awesome view of AmaDablam, Thamserku, Kantega, and Cholatse.

In Base Camp, our climbing guide brief to you about climbing part where the climbing crew is ready to give mountain camping service at high altitude. Overnight at Lobuche Base Camp.

Day 13 Lobuche Base Camp to High Camp 5600 m 4 hrs

 

After breakfast, we climb to high Camp from Lobuche Base Camp. We follow the rocky trail to upwards till we reach in Camp. Our climbing crew set up our camp takes Lunch and have rest there. You can also walk around for acclimatization.

Day 14 High Camp to Summit 6119m & Back to Base Camp 8 hrs

 

Today your dream of climbing Lobuche Peak will be fulfilled. We begin our climbing part early in the morning before sunrise from where we can see an amazing view of Everest, Nuptse, AmaDablam, Pumori with more white Himalayan Peaks. Take photography which will be memorable in your lifetime and climb down to Base Camp. Overnight at Base Camp.

Day 15 Base Camp to Pangboche 3900m 6 hrs walk

 

After having unforgettable Lobuche Peak Climbing, we trek down to Pangbocheand join the main trail of Everest Base Camp Trek. From Lobuche all the way down to Pheriche and follow the Imja River and trek to beautiful Pangboche village. Overnight at Pangboche

 

Day 16 Pangboche to Namche 3440 m 5 hrs walk

 

We walk to Namche from Pangboche village. The trail follows the Imja River all the way to Tengboche. From Tengboche, the trail moves down to PhungiThanka and climb to Namche. Overnight at Namche.

Day 17 Namche to Lukla (2850m 7 hrs walk)

 

From Namche, your trekking route goes down to Lukla from Namche Bazaar. You will return back the same way to Lukla as you had climbed before. Today, you will finish your trekking and tell Good Bye to your porter who carried your bag during the whole trip. Overnight at Tea House of Lukla

Day 18 Lukla to Kathmandu (1300m, 25-minute fly)

 

Early morning, fly to Kathmandu from Lukla with your trekking Guide. Tell Goodbye to him in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 19 Rest Day or Shopping Day in Kathmandu

 

Today, you will have a rest day in Kathmandu. You have a free day today.

Day 20 Departure to Home

 

Fly to Home after having unforgettable Island Peak climbing.
